Description
Vessel fired in an oxidising atmosphere, with a reddish fabric and varied inclusions. It is circular, with a wide mouth, slightly curved walls, with a ridge inside which marks the beginning of the rim. The rim is straight, with a rounded lip. The base has an annular ledge. The outer surface is glazed in a monochrome honey colour, which extends towards the outer part of the rim where, in some cases, it stains the outside of the object with drops of glaze. The interior decoration is split between the rim and bottom of the piece; on the rim, painted with manganese oxide, isolated geometric patterns are in the form of three concentric circles alternating with groups of incised triangles. The bottom of the piece has a lotus flower in the centre painted with manganese oxide.
