Description
An amphora in Apani's shape V, from the area of Brindisi in Puglia, Italy, used to transport oil. The handle has a label with the inscription Apollon, which was probably the name of the possible potter. In the area of the shoulder a titulus pictus is painted with the inscription C.HE, who would be a merchant or trader who sold oil, and might correspond to C. He(rennius).
