Description
Necklace formed by 10 elements, either chains or pendants of different materials: glass paste, jet, horn, coral, silver, bronze, glass and rock crystal. Among these pendants it is worth noting 4467.3 and 4467.5, two hooks, one silver and one horn. This symbol has been used by different cultures and religions since ancient times. It is documented in the Phoenician-Punic age in North Africa, linked to the goddess Tanit and probably comes from ancient beliefs. The form of representation is a hand with five fingers with the heart finger standing out. Jewish culture calls it the hand of Miriam in reference to the sister of Moses and Aaron, or the fifth hand or hand of Hamsesh
