Description
Black varnished ceramic bowl attributed to the workshop of the three radial palmettes of Roses, corresponding to shape 24/25 in the Lamboglia typology. The rim turns inwards and the body is decorated with stripes. It has a circular hole in the ring foot. The exact place and date in which it was found is not known. Matt black varnish in poor condition, much has been lost. It comes from the 1984 excavation in Sector 01. The bowls are one of the most common forms among the imported third century BC vessels. It is a polyvalent form regarding use and capacity, and used to hold solids, spices, salt, liquids or semi-liquid sauces or condiments.
