Description
Spiral bracelet. It consists of a flat ribbon of silver, with a flat interior and convex exterior. Fifteen spiral shapes and their ends consist of so many snakeheads. The manufacture seems to be indigenous. It has parallels in similar treasures, such as those at Perotito (Jaén) or Arrabalde (Zamora). This type of bracelet that incorporates as a decorative element the body and / or the head of a snake was common in Mediterranean cultures from ancient times and has reached our days. The spiral symbolizes life continued in the after-life, while the snake may have different meanings.
