Description
Trapezoidal axe with a symmetric bevel. The heel is truncated and its convergent sides have sawn slots. Small traces on the surface allow the interpretation that the original block of stone was extracted with the help of fire and later was transformed using the sawing technique which consists of dividing the stone by abrasion. It is a fine-grained retromorphic calcic amphibolite with a translucent dark green colour that could correspond to a rock from an Alpine source. It was found in a pit tomb together with two honey flint cores that were deposited accompanying a skeleton.
