Description
High-footed ceramic cup with two opposite handles. It was manufactured locally. Both the body and the foot are decorated with horizontal cordons embellished with impressions and incisions, which provide relief and distinction to the object. It was part of table crockery consisting of dishes, jugs, vessels and cups, both local and North African, and was probably used to drink wine. This cup was one of the many objects located in the pantry of the Roman villa of Vilauba, which was affected by a fire at the end of the third century.
