TANIT

National Archaeology Collection

The 21st century presents a potential and immediacy, previously unimaginable, in terms of the capacity to transmit and expand knowledge. In an increasingly globalised world, this scenario calls on museums to create more active, creative, and collaborative tools for dissemination, where archaeology can explain, question, surprise, and inspire emotion.
The Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya and the Arqueoxarxa have led the project to conceptualise a database aimed at the digital dissemination of the most significant objects from Catalonia’s archaeological collections: TANIT. National Archaeology Collection. A project to share Catalonia’s archaeological heritage online.
